Calcined Alumina Powder
Recovered from dross residue by controlled calcination.
- Produced from aluminium dross residue
- Controlled calcination process
- Low moisture, consistent grain size
- High thermal stability

Overview
What it is, and how we make it.
Recovering metal from dross leaves a residue. Most secondary plants pay to dispose of it. We calcine it into a saleable product — which is what closing a loop actually looks like in practice, rather than as a slogan.
Calcined alumina powder goes to refractory, ceramic and abrasive manufacturers. For those buyers the questions are always the same: alumina content, moisture, grain size distribution and how consistent all three are from batch to batch.
Grain size and packaging are set to the application. Tell us where it is going in your process and we will confirm against your requirement.
Specifications
What we publish, and what we confirm against your requirement.
Values shown as “on request” are not padding — they are figures we will confirm against your specification rather than publish a number we cannot hold for every order.

Manufacturing route
How calcined alumina powder are produced.
- 01
Residue recovery
Dross residue is collected after metal recovery in the melting operation.
- 02
Processing
Residue is prepared and graded before calcination.
- 03
Controlled calcination
Calcined under controlled conditions to produce alumina powder with low moisture content.
- 04
Grading & packing
Graded for consistent grain size and packed to the ordered specification.

Questions
What buyers ask us first.
If your question is not here, call +91 98503 19003 — we answer specification questions directly.
What is calcined alumina powder used for?
Principally in refractories, ceramics and abrasives, and in industrial applications that require high thermal stability and consistent grain size.
Where does the material come from?
It is produced from aluminium dross through a controlled calcination process at our Butibori plant — the same dross we process for metal recovery.
Can you supply data on alumina content and grain size?
Product data is available on request. Send your specification and application and we will answer against it.
